Hello Ryan and Samantha,
It’s nearly the end of the summer holidays now. Why do the big summer holidays go so fast? August 26th today, so just a couple of weeks left.
I wonder how you’ve enjoyed yourselves this year, and what you’ve been doing? I expect you’ve been on your bikes and having fun with your friends.
I used to love the summer holidays because we would all play together. We’d go to Kingston Lacey and shake the ‘wobble-trees’ with Jas and Amy. Do you remember that? Sometimes, Ryan, Granddad Roger took you on really old steam trains; you loved that sort of day out. Or Upton County Park with a picnic, or just digging muddy holes in my garden, with Samantha sitting on the steps sorting out the many pebbles and washing them clean in bowls of water.
They were happy happy times, we always had such fun, and I miss you both so very much. I would love to see you again, but Mum seems to be very cross with me, and I don’t know why. Your cousins, Jas and Amy, are always asking about you and why they can’t see you now.
We still live next to Poole Park, just behind the Crazy Golf, and like being here very much.
I am going to look out some photos of you both now.
Dear Ryan and Samantha, you are my grand children, and are always in my heart. To me, you will always be dear, funny, happy little children. I am your Granny.
Now, I wish you lots of wonderful days as you start back to school in September.
Much love from Granny Ruth
