Hi Ryan,
I am writing to you because it’s your 15th and I really want to say “Happy Birthday”. I, always, find it difficult at this time that I can’t say “Happy Birthday” to you in person, and give you a present like other grandparents do. I’m sorry that it’s like this. However, I have saved up all that I would have spent on your presents, Birthdays and Christmas times, for you and Samantha.
I remember all your birthdays, until you were seven, and all the parties. You, always, liked to be the DJ for the party games like “Pass the Parcel” etc and loved to turn the music Up or Off at the right moment. Your presents usually meant lots of Lego. You loved Lego and were very good at building it up. I have got all your Lego safe, here, including all the space stuff. I hope you will take it home one day. I would like that.
I hope you and your family have kept free from the Covid virus. Grandad and I have escaped it and feel very lucky to have had jabs.
Here’s a reminder of you as a dear little lad. Now you’re 15, and a grown-up, responsible, schoolboy with so much learning ahead. I expect you’ve chosen your GCSE subjects and have worked out the best ones to go for. All the best with that over the next few months.
I send love and good wishes to you, Ryan, and will, always, be happy to get news of how you’re getting on.
Happy birthday from Granny Ruth.
Hello, too, to you, Samantha. I hope you’re happy and well.
I will write to you next time.
Granny Ruth
