Hello Ryan, hello Samantha!
So it’s the end of term again, and here come the summer holidays. I expect you will get to do lots of the things you like, and enjoy the long days. Although, very often it’s just good to have time to yourself, and hang about doing nothing for awhile. Hope the days go well for you both.
I suppose you’re especially glad, Ryan, to get to the end of this term, with your exams now behind you, knowing you did all the hard work, and did your best.
Samantha, you won’t remember this, but, when you were tiny, your Grandad Roger was always fixing and mending things, and Ryan used to call him “up ladder grandad”. At one time, the ladder was put up to the roof at Ryan’s other house, so that the new TV aerial could be connected.
I found this card that your Mum sent to us once from Ryan, and there’s grandad by the ladder, and a banana for Ryan because that was one of his favourite foods.
Well, I thought you might like to know that Grandad Roger is still climbing ladders, and in this photo he’s in the top room, mending the blinds. See the penguin you gave to me Ryan!
Enjoy your holidays then. I’m still hoping for a game of crazy golf with you one day in the park! Sending loads of love to you both. Missing you all the time. XX
